Spaghetti Meat Sauce

Author Says: "Adding the cream of mushroom soup completely changes the flavour without anybody knowing there's mushrooms in the recipe!" 

Ingredients 

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 can of your favourite tomato pasta sauce 
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet of spaghetti noodles
  • Parmesan cheese, optional 

Method

  1. Cook noodles according to instructions on packet 
  2. Cook ground beef and onion in pan until ground beef is full cooked
  3. Add peppers and cook until tender, you may want to add a little water to the pan 
  4. Add sauce and soup to pan and stir until completely combined
  5. serve sauce on top of noodles with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese

Suggestions: You can add any of your favourite vegetables for more flavour and nutrition!

Easy Slow Cooker Beef Roast

Ingredients 

  • 2 kg inside round roast
  • 1 package dry italian dressing
  • 1 package dry ranch dressing
  • 1 package beef gravy mix

Method

  1. Place roast in slow cooker
  2. Pour dry package mixes on top of roast add 1 cup water
  3. Cook on high for 6 hours remove roast and let rest
  4. Make gravy using liquid in slow cooker

Quick and easy meatballs

Super fast, easy, and delicious recipe. Great for serving as an horderve or as a meal. 

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 1/2 lb Lean Ground Pork 
  • 3 Tbsp. French Onion Soup Mix
  • 1/4 Cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Large Egg

Method

  1. Pre heat oven to 350 F
  2. Thoroughly mix all ingredients together 
  3. Form bite size balls and place on greased baking sheet
  4. Place in middle oven rack and cook for approximately 20 minutes, turning occasionally
  5. Meatballs are cooked when centre is no longer pink.

Delicious Beef Roast Dry Rub

Ingredients

This is for a 5-7 pound roast


2-Tbsp coarse salt
1-Tbsp coarse pepper
1-Tbsp garlic
1-tsp onion powder
1-tsp oregano
1-tsp tyme
1-tsp crushed peppers

Method

  1. Let roast rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking
  2. Mix spices together 
  3. Rub all over roast
  4. Preheat oven to 450
  5. Place roast in oven for 15-20 minutes. Then without opening the oven, reduce the heat down to 325 and leave in there until roast reaches an internal temperature of 140 (approx 2 1/2 hours)

Cream Cheese Fold Over Tortilla Bake

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) stewed tomatoes
  • 1 cup enchilada sauce
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 12 flour or corn tortillas 
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chilies, drained
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese or any other cheese of preference 

Method:

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion until beef is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomatoes, enchilada sauce and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 5 minutes. Pour half of the meat sauce into a 13x9-in. baking dish. Set aside.
  2. Warm tortillas in microwave until soft and pliable (approximately 1 minute). Spread warm tortillas with cream cheese and top with chilies. Fold tortillas in half. Arrange folded tortillas over meat sauce; pour remaining sauce over top.
  3. Cover and bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese; bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
