  • 16 slices white bread or brown bread, crust removed
  • Slices of back bacon or ham
  • Slices of sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 to 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 cup minced onions
  • 1/4 green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 to 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • Few drops of Tabasco
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • Special K or Cornflakes

Using a 9x13'' glass baking dish put enough slices of bread to entirely cover the bottom of the dish. Cover bread with slices of bacon or ham, thinly sliced. Lay slices of sharp cheddar cheese on top of bacon, then cover with slices of bread in sandwich fashion. In a bowl, beat eggs, salt, pepper, dry mustard, onion, green pepper, Worcestershire sauce, milk, and Tabasco. Cover and put in fridge over night. In morning, melt butter and pour over top. Cover with special K or Cornflakes. Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 350F. Let rest before serving. Enjoy!
